How To Submit Your Deposit
How To Submit Your Deposit
Scan, annotate, and send your deposits using the Kesef remote deposit scanner. Deposits can be made at any time, and you can have multiple deposits in a day.
Creating a deposit is step four of four. For more information, refer to the make a deposit using the Kesef remote deposit scanner process outline.
Prerequisites
To successfully submit your deposit, you will need:
- To have completed steps 1, 2, and 3 in the deposit process
- The deposit file
- Any additional documentation needed to support the deposit
- Cash application instructions for each check
Note: use the Shulcloud Charge Type in the instructions, not the GL account.
About Cash Application Instructions
All checks must have cash application instructions on the check. The most efficient method of doing so is to write the SC Charge Type in the Memo section of the check before scanning the checks. The alternative methods for adding cash application instructions are:
-
Refer to the use Adobe for deposit file text comments how-to article to annotate the deposit file.
-
Use the Cash Application Instruction Sheet to document the checks that do not already have cash application instructions. You may download the instruction sheet below. Note: Be sure to include this sheet as part of the deposit submission email.
Submit Your Deposit
- Ensure cash application instructions are included for each check
- Gather the deposit file and any additional documentation needed (for example, a contribution letter from a charitable fund). Note: please indicate the deposit date on any additional documentation
- Submit the deposit file and all backup information via Deposits: ShulCloud/Other on the Kesef 2.0 Communications Form.

Troubleshooting
- If the Quickbooks GL account was included on the cash application, you will need to update the information to reflect the Shulcloud Charge Type instead.
