Deposits Via Scanner - Year End Information
As the end of the year approaches, it is important to separate your deposits. Any checks that are dated in 2022 and received/postmarked by 12/31/22, must be deposited separately from 2023 checks.
Example: You have 32 checks which are dated various dates in December 2022, and 50 checks dated in January 2023. You will have to separate and scan/deposit the 32 2022 checks separate from the 50 2023 checks. You should have two separate deposits and two separate deposit reports. One for the December 2022 checks and one for the January 2023 checks.
Kesef's cutoff for checks dated in 2022 is January 11th. This means that Kesef must receive the deposit report with check copies by January 11th. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you make your 2022 deposits by January 10th. Any checks received after January 11th will be posted as 2023 payments. Please reach out to your Kesef A/R Specialist with any questions.
